female crabs need salt so after a week of no rain the salinity level rises and the females appear.

I must say something about this Crabber, he is a dedicated Crabber
in that he makes his own gear , this is an accomplishment that only
a few know . It is one thing to catch a crab in a trap or Net ring but
it is even better that when you catch that crab in a Net Ring that
your hands made, well it is a satisfaction that few can appreciate.
Now for some praise, them Crabs look awesome and I just know how
they are going to taste too Thank you Val for a fine report, it means
more to me than you think !

Bob....Believe me, without your help and guidance I don't think I would have done them...I have more than I need but feel like making some more...They DO WORK...I did those but now a buddy says he can tack those rings together and I varied some...ONLY thing I didn't/don't like is now and then a crab will get SO tangled in the net I just leave him till I'm done..

Not a problem VAL I have taught several guys on the forum how I make my nets. I only used my Rings once and we killed them. Two boats , two men on each boat , two days of crabbing and a total of 7 stuffed bushels . I was chided until I explained that we were short one bushel from our legal limit . That was four years ago it is still on the forum if you look for it. I got my gear out the other day  and set it up and to date I have five new nets done without one single mistaken knot. I don't know if I am going to make these into Ring Nets or not. I might sell these nets as they are and the person can make their own rings and finish them, they sure do look nice when they are spread out on the floor. TIGHT LINES AND FULL BASKETS TO YOU VAL !

   P. S. This net Ring is not finished the top and bottom rings needs to be lashed to the net . I use a double selve on the top of the net too.
