Crabbing 11-14-2020

I have made my last crabbing trip for 2020. If was a good year for crabbing for me. I crabbed mostly off of my kayak and a few times off of a friend's boat. On Saturday we crabbed off if a motor boat and traveled further south to the Saint Mary's River. We did not have high hopes, but we just wanted to see if there were any crabs there. The water temperature was in the mid of upper 50's. We crabbed up the river and down to the mouth of the river. We tried 7 feet all the way up to 19 feet of water on an incoming tide. With all of that said, we only caught one keeper 5.5 inch crab which we released. We saw a few small female crabs to our surprise, and we even saw a handful of small male crabs in the shallow water. It was a good year for crabbing, but I am done until next year.
