Decided to give it a go since water temperature was reading 61 degrees also wanted to drive the skiff we got around.  After getting 4 gallons of non-ethanol for $15(can't wait to fill the bigger boat up), worked several different locations of the river using topless traps.  There were no crab pots around which made me think something was up.  Last year this time they were everywhere and we managed to catch almost a dozen.  After about 3 hours we managed to catch 3 which were all small so they went back.  The wind made it fun but it didn't cause any frustration.  Guessing the crabs didn't winter in my area and/or haven't migrated in yet.  Still it was a nice day to be out on the water.  Going to give it another 2 weeks before I go again.

Keep after them Fishdog.  It won't be long before they show up.

I am starting to hear through the grape vine from commercial guys that this year so far is horrible.  Pulling their pots and keeping them at the dock.
