The Pitch Pig and I were back in action this week - this is pretty much a copy and paste job from last week, except a little less successful.  Shoved off from the famous Schnaitman's on the Wye River at 5:30 for our 2nd go round - actively crabbed from 6:00-12:00.  We got off the water just as the storm hit - it was a beautiful day up until that point.  There were more crabbers out today, all did about the same as us or so we were told.

We ran 30 traps with CN's all over the place, depths ranging from 4 to 12 feet; 7-9 feet seemed to be the best for us today.  Ended the day with 23 crabs of lessor quality as compared to last week.  No throwbacks and no escapees.

Depth:
4-6 feet - 4 crabs
7-9 feet - 15
10-11 feet - 4

Traps:
Ring Net (cloth) - 1
Topless - 22
*this was odd, we went with more cloth ring nets based on last week's production, and then caught everything in the topless.  Crabs are fickle.

Size:
6-7" - 18 crabs
5 1/4 - 6" - 5
 - only one rusty crab, the rest were white belly.

Water was beautiful; life is good; blessed everyday; be well all.
